Can anyone tell me what minor league baseball teams are in Texas?

i think they should trade prior but not wood. Wood is a better pitcher. I can see them winning the Ws, in a couple years or so

Why did the red sox have to let Johnny Damon Go??

As a cubs fan, I think it is time to get rid of both pitchers. All they do is keep the bench warm, time to find someone reliable.

Experts have this years World Series being played between the Angels and Dodgers. Am I missing something?

soon, mark prior took a devistating injury last year (owch!!) i think that will effect him directly... hmm wood i think they'll keep he is a solid pitcher ^^

How exectly are u supposed to stand to bat in baseball/softball?

What team is going to trade for the Cubs perpetual disabled list? Do you really think Wood and Prior have trade value?

Be happy they found Hill and Marquis.

The brewers game was delayed. Who won? Is it postponed?

YEAH I THIKN THELL GET RID OF BOTH GOOD PLAYERS BUT NOT FOR THEM THEY SHOULD LOOK INTO ROOKIES

Milwaukee Brewers followers. Why doesnt Geoff Jenkins play every day?

Both of those guys are liabilities so you can cancel any thoughts of trading them.

I think it's time to cut your loses with both and move on.
The Cubs seem to be playing well without them as of late.

Will the Los Angeles Angels win another game this year?

Nobody will ever trade for two injury prone pitchers who have not lived up to their potential. if it was one injury shure I could see someone making a trade. but these guys get one injury after another every year. I think the Cubs either keep them on the team or should just outright release then . at this point they have zero value and both players might benefit from a change of scenery. The world series is at the end of the season these two pitchers have a hard time getting through April and May to be still pitching in Sept- Oct

Where's a good site to blog about the Atlanta Braves?

Get rid of them for up and coming pitchers... Wood is extremely overrated and Prior if heathly reminds of Andy Pettite, and he needs get heathly but send him to get younger arms that will or might re-establish the Cubs as the great team they are. Also get rid of them before Free Agency for if they signed with another team will be one of the biggest mistakes that the Cubs will do as a franchise, the Cubs need pitching plain and simple.

Another Baseball Question From Me.?

They can try and trade them, but there isn't a big market for pitchers with huge contracts that are on the DL for 120 + games per season. No team in their right mind would give up a pitcher that would be of use to the Cubs for one of those guys.

What font does the Colorado Rockies MLB team use for their logo?

As a Cubs fan I can guarantee you they will get rid of Prior and Wood JUST BEFORE they become completely healed. We'll probably offer to keep paying part of their salaries while they rack up the wins and strikeouts for some other team.

The best we can hope for is that they get traded to the American League where they won't beat us on a regular basis.

Does anyone know where I can find an Albert Pujols #6 Memphis Redbirds Jersey?

i think wood would be a great closer. prior should retire

How to you strike out left handed hitters?

Any team that is willing to trade anything of value for Prior &/or Wood should fire their GM immediately. On paper, they are a great asset. On the mound, they clog up the Disabled List for most of the season. They've done nothing of great value since Bartman broke the post season magic a couple of years ago. They were possibly the best 1-2 tandem in the majors; now they are the prettiest DL regulars around.

But once cut free by the Cubs, they become intriguing prospects for teams that could sign them for minimum guaranteed salaries with lots of performance bonuses. The Cubs can't do that because of the union, but once they become free agents someone will take a flyer on their talent if healthy.

If the Cubs don't make the Series this year, who knows? With new ownership coming in, as the Tribune has to sell them, you never know what will happen. Lots of people want Mark Cuban to buy them, but money alone thrown at the problem doesn't always work - look at the Cuban's Mavericks. It's not like there are many more ways to increase revenue for a team that sells out nearly every game now; this year's monster spending spree either needs to work, or the new owner has little incentive to spend more money.

Of course, cutting Prior & Wood loose would free up quite a bit of salary options.
