Is asking your offense to score 16 runs for support asking a lot?
Question:I'm only asking because Jeff Weaver is 0-5 with a era of 15.35. At what point do you cut your loses with this guy?
Answers:
Why did you come to the Yankees?
You cut your losses and send him to the bullpen (or down the road) the day that Felix Hernandez is ready to pitch again. You've already burned several million dollars on him and the only way that doesn't look like a waste is if he wins his next 15 starts in a row. Good luck with that. You can replace him in the rotation or the pen with a far less expensive pitcher that may develop into something great.Asking for 6 runs/game is a lot.
Weaver has the proverbial million dollar arm with apparently the equally proverbial 10 cent brain, at least as pitching is concerned. He keeps being offered contracts because every organization salivates over his arm and thinks they can get his head straightened out.
Hm...good question. I would say ONE more try. Maybe he's just getting off to a rough start. Asking to score 16 runs is a lot.
no, not if your playing T-Ball. In the case of the Mariners, yeah, thats a little ridiculous. As far as cutting your losses, he's worthless as trade bait. Sending him to the minors might make his head troubles even worse. Maybe they could move him to the bullpen for a while until he gets straightened out. If not, Seattle is in for a long game every 5 days.
I have autographs from the Rodge Marris Family..?
P-U! This guy stinks. He's a liability at this point. Why put him back on the mound? What is your favorite funniest moment in baseball history?
That would be asking a lot. What is the most famous number in baseball?
if you judge by last year, then you wait until he's 3-10. The Cardinals acquired him last year after he got sent down to the minors by Anaheim, stuck with him while he was mediocre in the reg. season, he pitched better in the playoffs, and then the clinching game was the first time he had been lights out all season long. Then he says he wants to stay with the Cardinals, acts insulted by the $6 million a season, saying they ruined his chance of getting him a long-term deal.
Long story short, he's a headcase only concerned about himself, so unless Seattle trades him, get use to seeing him give up long home runs while he hangs his head and acts like he cares less.

Has an umpire in an MLB game ever ejected another umpire?
It may be appropriate in footballllll, if you get a random safety here and there. If he is playing on your team, you know the second he is traded to another team, he'll kick butt. Happens every time.
Except for Armando Benitez. He'll stink the rest of his career... what's left of it anyway.
