Answers:

Is it BS that a batter isn't credited with an RBI if a run scores from a double play?

I think it would be smart for any team to do that from a business perspective. It's basically a guaranteed revenue producer for any team be it large market or small. I am a Yankees fan, but don't get (YES network). It makes it harder to see your team play if you live out of the region and can't get the channel, but in a free market society when a business such as a team makes a decision on something if the people buy it and they make a profit then good for them

You can't punish someone for good business practices. I know that isn't something that Yankee haters want to hear but it's the truth. Either fight fire with fire and win or lose by what happens, or shut up and deal with the fact that you won't compete because your team's owner won't do whatever it takes to win.

Most people hate the teams that are successful and whine about it rather than watch what they do, learn from it, and then beat them at their own game.

sorry I'll get off my soap box now

I think the networks are a great idea for teams both from a business sense, and for the true fans of that team to be able to see both the present and the history of that team.

Why is a third to second to first double play referred to as an "around the horn" dp?

I'd like it. As far as I know the Yes network carries every single yankees game, it sucks missing out on games here because the local station wanted to show some poker match or something like that :/

Shea stadium question?

I am a Mets fan...They have a channel now similiar to the Yanks..called SNY (SportsNet New York)

Serious Question men please answer?

I'm a Yankees fan, and I think teams should have a channel like the YES Network. I'm not saying that it should be a carbon copy (the Mets' channel is a COMPLETE rip-off of YES), but there should be a lot of programming, including classic games, and biographies (like you say) of former players. This is very entertaining to watch, and younger fans would learn more about the history of their team.

How many runs will Daisuke Matsuzaka give up today to Kansas City. Closest anwer gets 10 points?

No way. It's just another premium channel the cable or satellite companies will bury in some sports package you have to pay even more to watch. It's just another way for owners to line their pockets with our money, and part of the reason the Yankees have a payroll over 200 million.

Baseball isn't like football, with only 16 regular season games. Any sport that has a 162 game regular season needs to be as free as possible to watch on television.
