If I needed an ace for one season, I'd take peak Pedro. What he did in 1999 and 2000 was jaw-droppingly historic. If I'm about to offer a five-year contract, I go with Clemens.
Pedro has demonstrated some fragility that Rocket, who has pretty much always been an ox (in a good way), avoids.

clemens because his prime was for a while and he was nasty and pedro was very nice but never can he stand up to clemens. MY NAME IS NICK L ALSO!! CRAZYChance of Johan Santana being a Yankee in a few years?
Pedro. He was a genius during his prime years mixing up speeds on pitches using the same arm motion. Batters didn't have clue as to what to look for from pitch to pitch. There was nothing they could sit on.
What is the best infield/pitcher "rawlings gold glove" glove for under 150 dollars?
Was Clemens' prime solely with Boston, or did his prime also include his stint with Toronto and his first stint with the Yankees? The answer to that question determines which pitcher I'd rather have in their prime because the only time I was a Clemens fan was when he was with the Red Sox.
No one was better than Pedro in his prime.
Is Dice-K Matsuzaka [pitcher] worth the money the Red Sox paid for him?
I would have to say Pedro. Clemens was one dimensional with his heater. How many world series has the royals won?
I loved the classic Boston vs. Yankees games when Pedro pitched. There was nothing better.Pedro all the way in my book. He was a conductor on that mound in his prime.
Is there anything in any baseball/softball rulebook about what consitutes a swing??
The Rocket in a heartbeat. and the reason is just 4 words: 7 Cy Young Awards. with over 300 wins and still going how could anybody turn him down.Pedro already admitted the Yankees are his "daddy"
Who is your fav baseball player?
Pedro Martinez could really dominate a game and threw many more pitches whereas Clemens could really only beat you with a splitter and a fastball. While neither has thrown a no-hitter, there were season Martinez was really dominate, and Clemens was great in 1986, and pretty good a lot of years. I would take Martinez.Pedro in a landslide. While I admit Clemens will have better career stats, when in their primes Pedro was 10 time better...
Pedro's five seasons in Boston, statistically, are the greatest five years for any pitcher in the history of the league. I saw a tv program about it. The only pitcher who comes close to matching pedro for these five years was Sandy Koufax.
When we're talking the history of the game, and the thousands and thousands of pitchers who have laced up their spikes, and Pedro and Koufax are the final two mentioned for the most superior "primes", Clemens is on the outside looking in.
Does anyone know of any sites where I can watch or listen to the baseball game online for free?
Without a doubt Roger Clemens. He has flawless mechanics, great control, a 95+ fastball and a good curveball too work with plus he isn't afraid to challenge hitters nor pitch them high and tight. He wasn't called the 'Rocket' for nothing and had his best seasons not with the Yankees or Red Sox but when he was with the Blue Jays in 97-98 (272 K's in 1997) plus he has 348 wins in his career. I would take him over Pedro any day.How to research sports memoribilia?
Pedro. He's more involved with the team. At least he shows up for the games he's not pitching. Try to get Clemens to do that. Not gonna happen. And Pedro is a fun guy to have around the clubhouse, that's always a plus.More Questions & Answers...
