Most stupid baseball play ever?
Question:I played in a game last week where the opposition tried to turn a standard double play with no runners on base. By the time the 2nd baseman realised there was no one at 2nd he was too late to throw out the batter at first. How would this be scored? A hit to the batter? A fielders choice? Fielders Indifference?

It is scored as a base hit. There was no runner to play on at second ( thus no FC) The ball was fielded and thrown properly and without anyone mishandling it (thus no error) and defensive indifference only applies to undefended steals of bases.Who should do the nationaly televise games on fox or espn?
fielders choice. cuz it wasnt a hit (but it could be scored as one) and it wasnt an error. when i mean error i mean physical error. mental errors are not counted in baseball. like forgeting how many outs there are in an inning.Which mlb player is your favorite pitcher?

when you reach on an error it loweres ur BAIt would be a fielders choice although by rights the SS should be charged with an error of omission. Of course there is no such thing but there should be.
If he threw the ball to second, it's a throwing error. If he didn't throw it, most likely an infield single.
