Best way of knowing the value of your baseball cards?
They really do not have a choice right now. Their pitching when at full strength is a big question mark. With so many disabled and on the disabled list, disaster is ahead for the Yankees. They need to use every resource they have, and right now, Hughes is one of them.Chow!!
Who was the first Black player for the Chicago Cubs?
Yes, they should, at least for a couple of more starts. He had a rough first inning, but was great in the next three. I definitely think he was being squeezed by the ump in the first inning, and then the first base umpire blew a call in the fifth which lead to at least one run. He should have given up two runs, max.Remember he is only 20 and probably should have gotten at least half a season in triple A. I think that if he stays up, there will be good starts and bad starts, but in the long run it will help him. He's a future ace. Maybe not this year, but definitely in a year or two. Boston can have Dice-K for the present, Hughes is our future!
At this point is there any of the yankees hyped up rookie pitchers going to finally step up?? The only yankees pitcher recently that had/has the heart that came out the farm system is Andy Petitte. These guys come up not hunger or even poised. It pisses me off! Instead of just looking at potential Cashman needs to look at character. Someone who has that fire and over confidence to succeed . Im just angry that not one of them can take the ball and run with it. Its just so frustrating !!!
Batting Average Leader in 1999?
Absolutely not. Keep Hughes back in the minors and continue to develop him into a finer pitcher. We can't go on rushing out young prospects only to see them self destruct.Hughes is young and will be ready next season along with Humberto Sanchez and Chris Britton.
Who is the worst player currently in the Major Leagues?
He had a rough start, but if you watched him you could see there were a lot of nerves. And what 20 year old wouldn't be nervous pitching for the first time at Yankee Stadium?? Hell, even hardened veterans get a little jittery their first time in the Bronx. They should definitely keep him up, at least until we get Moose or Pavano back, and then if he's still rusty send him back.
The 15 MLB pitchers with the most Batters Faced in 2006?
Yes, keep him up for about another month and a bit so the Jays can see him again at the end of May. We can use all the help we can get when playing you Yankees... heh.It doesn't matter Roger Clemens can't save the pitching staff or the team.
Where is the best place to watch a Cubs game in NYC?
I would say keep him, but I wouldnt have him as a starter I would put him in middle relief so he gets a fell for Major league bats. Then after the allstar break make him a starter. The Kid has great machnics and a strong arm.More Questions & Answers...
