What is the yankees problem? there numbers r terrrible.?
The Jays open the gates 90 minutes before game time. But by that time, home BP has finished and the visiting team is close to having finished as well. I don't know if they're still doing it, but at one time, the Jays would do a phantom infield for about 10 minutes or so about 30 minutes before the first pitch. That's always been fun to watch.I have no idea about other teams.
BASEBALL is boring and cricket is brilliant. look at the video links below to see why?
I always like to get to a game when they open the gates. I don't know if it varies from team to team, but the 'Stros always opened two hours before first pitch. You'll get to see almost all of the warm-up.about an hour or two before the game
If Bonds had never hit 73 home runs in a season would we have ever questioned him?
Go early, when the Gates open if you want to see batting practice. If you get there as early as possible, you are unlikely to miss anything.Usually the visiting teams get their practice in first. Secondly if you are lucky enough to see your team on the road, that's a real good time to catch them in BP, as there usually isn't much interest from the home team fans with the exception of kids (and adults) who want to try to get a star player's autograph.
It's been my experience that if you are wearing the logo and the colors of the road team, some of those players will make it a point to have a quick conversation with you when they are done with batting practice.
