If the Red Sox' five-game lead completely evaporates, it's far more likely to be because of the Red Sox, not Clemens. If Boston goes 21-36 in July and August, then I think the lead will evaporate, and Clemens wouldn't have had anything to do with it.My point being, one pitcher on the Yankees doesn't affect how Boston plays the rest of the year.

No. Even if Clemens finishes out the year with a perfect record, the Yankees' other pitchers are still struggling. The Red Sox are mostly solid in the pitching, and it's a good thing that they didn't get Clemens, with the stacked rotation the Sox have now. Honestly, no...Clemens is a washed out old man. His stats from the last 3 Years are far from promising. In fact, I don't even think the Yankees will make the playoffs. I dont know what these guys are talking about with clemons having 3 or 4 starter stuff?...lol Clemons was very dominant with houston with era under 3 always. Houston had no offense and roger couldnt get the run support nor the wins hence the 500 record. Roger will be around 10-3 for the yankees and help them but he doesnt pitch every day. Yes,You can count on it! Last week we were in last place,today we are in 2nd! And that was done without Clemens! Clemens is only one pitcher and he can not pitch every game. sure he will help an awful rotation but the yankees still need more pitchers like Clemens. And dont forget the red sox are not a bad team, they are not going to make it easy for the yankees.(I am not a yankees or a red sox fan. infact i hate both teams)
