Are Matt Clement's Days Over?
Question:I know he is still with the Red Sox on the DL for his right shoulder surgery but isn't he a free agent after this year? And with Lester coming back soon, whats going ot happen to him?

I would say he is done with the sox unless he fully recovers takes a big pay cut and a possible switch to the pen.Why can't pitchers bat worth a darn in baseball??

He is done in Boston, thats for sure.He is apparently working hard, and wants to be back to prove himself.
Sox don't really want him back, no need, plus they would lose the insurance money.
He will sign a contract somewhere, and made a major league side next year, and depending how that goes..
Clement is actually a fighter, he pitched in 2006, injured, and that did huge damage which is why he is out now.
He will end up somewhere, and I think do ok, probably back to the NL. But that is in 2008.

I think Clement's days as a major league pitcher are indeed over. Lester is completing his rehab and will join the team shortly and replace Tavarez in the starting rotation.Chow!!
