How many baseballs does a major league team use each year?
I think ppl majorly underestimated the Giants b/c of the "old team" thing, but if they keep playing like they have been, which means bringing ppl home who are in scoring position (they've had definite trouble with that) and our pitching stays great, we have a shot :-) but I think it'll be a tight race b/c the Padres are looking good this year alsoWhy do they call Ken Harrelson "Hawk"?
If Bonds can stay healthy all year and keep up this performance, I have to go with yes. They've now won 8 straight games and they really do look great right now. Talk about a sleeper team this year, everyone was talking about the Dodgers and Padres in the West. If they can keep winning early, the Giants will be a legitimate threat in the West. However, you cannot count out the Padres just yet. Besides, if the Giants slip up too much early on, age and fatigue will take over and they'll probably end the season third in their division.
It's way to early to say. Don't forget about the Padres. They will contend as well. It will come down to the wire who wins the NL West this year in my opinion.
What is Gary sheffield's entrance song?
The Giants have been a threat ever since Barry Bonds joined the club. The addition of Barry Zito also helps. Someone on the Giants that is exremely underrated, though, is Matt Cain. He very well could be the best No. 2 starter in the MLB.Well, they're certainly more of a threat than the Dodgers are.
Yes, the Giants are, and have been, a threat to win the West.
They could use one more big bat, but right now, have a very good team, if everyone stays healthy. They have the pitching, they have Bonds, Benitez hasn't blown a single save. As long as the offense keeps clicking, they're in very good shape.
It sure is a little too early to tell, but to this point, they've been quite impressive. After a VERY shaky start to the season, the starting pitching has been dominant, the bullpen hasn't caved like it usually does, and Bonds isn't the only Giant producing hits. Up and Down this lineup, everybody is playing great ball. IF, and its a big IF, the Giants can stay healthy, they should be near the top of the NL West at the end of the year.
Do the Brewers have what it takes to win the World Series this year?
They're really coming together. Being a long-time Giants fan, that's good to see. They've had pretty lousy seasons the past several years, so they obtained some younger, fresher players. Cain and Lowry are doing well. That other new pitcher -- Zito has been kind of a disappointment. Still young, but not as good as Schmidt was IMHO(yet). Bonds, if he stays hot, will pose a good threat in the #4 spot. I'm still pissed that they got rid of Schmidt, but he's not doing great for his new team, so whatever...7 wins in a row now and only 1 game out of first. Goooo Giants! How to find an era in baseball?
too early to decide anything yetNo.
Not close to being legit at all.
Sorry, pal but in case you dont know this...baseball is a marathon season. So enjoy your "little" victory now because it wont last long.
Babe Ruth Lou Gehrig baseball card?
no. giants suck. What professional baseball player had the most home runs in 1986?
Yes, their is no one very dominant team in the NL West and all of Baseball for that matter. If they can produce some runs to help out their pitching which has been very solid they will be in good shap going into September. What pitcher had the most wins in a season since they went to the 5 man rotation?
They were before the season started!!Who do you think will be the 2007 MLB All-Star MVP?
Just one sweep doesnt proove anything. We'll see at the all star breakI agree with Kurt C. SF has a great rotation, and a better offense than LA. People play up LAs rotations, and it seems they looked right past San Frans'. I couldn't figure that one out. The big surprise during this win streak was how good their 'pen has been. The bullpen was supposed to be the Giants weak point, and its been lights out.
Who is # 88 on the MLB all time runs scored list?
Nope too many old men and a weak bench. They'll drag in the second half.More Questions & Answers...
