yes there is. Its in the movie A League of Their Own. I am pretty sure she is real. She also had a sisiter who played in that league. The program started when men went off to war and they started a league.haha I just watched A League of Their Own too! The character may or may not be real, but the movie itself is based on a true story. Sorry I can't be more help to you but I'm just sharing what I know! Happy Easter!

It's a fictionalized account of the AAPGBA. The names and characters may or may not have reflected actual players. And any given character in the movie could well have been based on a composite of any number of actual players.
That's how fictionalized accounts ALWAYS work. Perhaps if you'd paid a bit more attention in your English lit classes...
