Should i pick up BJ Ryan?
Question:I am already am set for closers, but im seriously considering picking him up as trade bait when he comes off the DL, i have one open spot in my roster, and currently Rich Harden is filling up my DL spot. Should i pick up Ryan and just keep him on the bench, or should i pick him up and drop Harden, or should i not even bother picking him up? Like i said before, i could just let him sit on my bench without having to drop anyone.

I wouldn't pick him up. But if you do don't pick him up until he comes off the DL. Don't drop Harden because when he pitches he is awesome.I don't think so the guy is really heavy, you can break your back.
I wouldnt, simply because he has an arm injury that is going to keep him out for a long time. When and if he even comes back this season, he wont be the BJ he has always been. Also, if a closer has emerged, he may remain that way and BJ be saved for next season. If you do pick him up, youre not going to get the BJ you expected and no one else will trade for him simply because of that one reason

naw ... I dumped him myselfIf you have an available spot then why not its not going to hurt anything if you are already set in that category. This is a long season and he might emerge back to form or not but it won't hurt if you ask me.

No because he is on the 60 day DL not the 15 day DL so this means that he is going to be out for a while.You should pick him up but it does matter for how much and if its a trade who would you give up for him?

I really don't think that he's worth it. I'd rather take a player that could contribute, you may just find a diamond in the rough. Plus Harden will pay you bigger dividends in the long run.Only if you are trying to fill up your DL.
