Why Is it that The NL Central has six teams when the rest have five...except for AL West with four?
Question:Why not send the Astros to the NL West and send Arizona to the AL West. That way all divsions wil have five and The AL West won't have two teams from Texas. This would only be fare the teams in The NL Central...Fare is Fare. But then who ever said that MLB is fare...Hence no Salary Cap.

its becasue most of the time in baseball, every team plays in one day. But usually only the AL plays the AL and the NL plays the NL. to make it so that every team can play in one day, they want to have an even number fot both leagues. that way there are 8 matchups on the NL and 7 in the AL. if it was 15 and 15 for AL and NL, there could only be 7 matchups for AL and NLGeographic location maybe?

MLB wants to keep an even number of teams in each league for scheduling purposes. They don't want any teams to have an off day on Fri-Sun (prime revenue days). They also don't want interleague play to become too common. Personally, I think that's rather lame.
