Nuxhall, the youngest pitcher in major league baseball, was only 15 years, 10 months and 11 days old when he pitched that game against the St. Louis Cardinals - He only played in 1 inning coming in relief that night in the 9th inning, but later on in his career he became a starter and was called "The Ol' Lefthander,"
List your nightmare (as in terrible) baseball lineup.?
Many times. Bob Feller was the youngest ever to start a game at 17.Barry Bonds, homerun hero? or Giant douche? u be the judge.?
But that doesn't encompass starting pitchers, as the question was referring too. Now, if memory serves me correctly, Edgar Gonzales of the Diamondbacks and Jason Davis of the Cleveland Indians matched up back in 2002/2003 in an interleague game. Gonzales was 20, Davis was 21 at the time of the start. So that would be the youngest matchup in recent ball history.Davis is still with the Indians as a reliever, and Gonzales is a starter/reliever for the Dbacks still.
