Question:I really think all these guys should retire their a waste of time and money ! whats the point of paying them if all they do is sit their asses in the bench and what the game ? come on ! these guys should call it quits and hang it up ! i mean even if they make somekind of rehab to comeback their gonna get hurt again anyways ! what are your opinions ??

Who is the most exciting player in baseball this year?
I always though wood and prior would have been the gems of the cubs' franchise but their health after the 2003 season was and has been horrid, so now I don't know. Although if they can get healthy I think they could still be those people, same with gagne if he can stay healthy he can be a gem as well, as for hampton.. I never saw him as a "good" pitcher anyway, just the occasional home run.Don't forget about pavano he's been a great bench warmer, too.

Hope springs eternal and each of these guys wants to rehabilitate himself and become a good player again. You have to hope that they will.On the other hand you have to think that a lot of general managers lose their minds when it comes time to sign a player. Look at the Dodgers and Kevin Brown. I would blame the GM's rather than the players.
Maybe there are a few cases where I'd blame a player, but not many. I hope they all come back. Eric Gagne, for example, was such an exciting player to watch, I hate to think he's gone for good.

Look at it from their point of view. Why would they? They are getting paid millions to go on vacation. Sure if you are the owner, coach, gm, ect. they are a waste of money and space. But they all signed long-term deals.
