I'm with you. Well said.Yes, I'll be sad to see the record go. Hank was a great ballplayer who never juiced his body or his bat and he deserves the record. He still has the rbi record though.

Not me. I'm happy that he will not only beak the home run record but continue to play for at least another 3 years and when all is said and done and the stats are compared to all the great players most people will agree that he's the greatest of all time. I really don't know about the bigot part. I go to 20+ Giants games a year and the teammates Barry talks and jokes with the most are all white.I am curious though why one form of cheating (steroids) is worse than all the others? Players have been taking Greenies to stay alert since the 50's and ALL players have swung a corked bat at one time or another. ALL pitchers have attempted to doctor the ball at one time or another. I played 6 years in the minor leagues and trust me, players are constantly thinking of ways to "cheat."
