Question:Noticed that the Tigers-Blue Jays game was postponed due to cold weather. Ever notice how football plays through everything and wimpy baseball is ready to cut and run with a little bit of rain?

Some of the weather rescheduling is for the benefit of the fans, but the main concern is preventing injuries from poor field conditions. Baseball has a schedule comprising 162 games over a six month period, & rescheduling a game is not a huge challenge in most cases as most teams face each opponent several times over the course of a season.

On average a team plays about 27 games in a 30 day period, hardly a "wimpy" schedule to adhere to for anyone. Pro football has a much more compact schedule, & far fewer opportunities for rescheduling a game, particularly since they need a week (give or take) to recover & heal after each football game. That , & fans are accustomed to attending football games on weekends (mostly) & postponing for weather creates a multitude of schedule & travel problems, as well as some possible advantages for a team that had no weather problems, & got a regular practice/recovery period before the next game.

Besides...you have to admit, sometimes a football game is played under what most might consider "ridiculous" field conditions, barely tolerable to sit & endure as a fan.
