Who would you rather have as your franchise player. David Wright or miguel Cabrera?

Question:I was having a discussion with my friend. He loves Cabrera and I Wright. Who do u think is a better franchise player?

Answers:

Should I pick up Jermaine Dye off the waiver wire and drop Alex Gordon?

I will tell you the truth, not suck up to you. Face the facts.

Not only is Miguel Cabrera the future of baseball, but he is in the top three players right now with Albert Pujols and Alex Rodriguez.

David Wright not only has a stacked line up for stacking up RBIs and RUNS but there is no pressure on him to lead the Mets because New York has many other players that pitch in.

When you say "franchise player" I assume you are taking age into consideration. Miguel turned 24 last week and David Wright is 25 soon.

David Wright has zero titles unlike Miguel Cabrera who has one title (Florida 2003) and two when he was in the Marlins' farm system (Albuquerque 2000, 2001).

On Thursday, June 22, 2006, Cabrera singled on the first pitch of an attempted intentional walk, a very unusual occurrence. I was at this game against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Became the first player in Marlins history to have 30+ home runs and 100+ RBI in consecutive seasons.
Won his first Silver Slugger award in 2005 and his second in 2006.

Youngest player in Major League Baseball history to hit back-to-back 30 homer seasons.

Cabrera is just the third player since 1900 to hit a game-winning home run in his big-league debut. The other two were Josh Bard in 2002 and Billy Parker in 1971.

My prediciton for David Wright's career, one title and a bunch of other awards. For Miguel's career, seven titles and a bunch of awards. I say this because he has a couple under the belt in his first couple seasons.

Lets look at their career so far, ok? Lets see...they have played the same amount of seasons on their respective teams. David Wright has 67 home runs with 258 RBIs and a .306 batting average. Thats great. Now Miguel, 111 home runs 429 RBIs and a .320 average. By Golly! I think we have an answer to this question.

Does Alex Rodriguez use steroids?

D wright is my choice. cabrera dosent work hard or help his teamates and he also has no respect for his own organization. He has the manny being manny attitude

Bonds.740!?

I would take David Wright over Migual Cabrera. Their offensive production in the end will be about equal and Wright is only slightly older, but Cabrera is too much of a defensive liability IMO.

Is there a site where i can record my baseball team's stats individually and as a whole?

It depends on the franchise. David Wright is more marketable and would be the choice for a small market team that needs to sell tickets. Both have accomplished quite a bit in their young age, but Miguel Cabrera is the better player. If Cabrera becomes a 40+ homer guy, he becomes a legitimate triple crown threat. Wright has not recovered his power stroke since last year's home run derby. Until he does, you gotta take Cabrera.

Does anyone know how i can get a view of the fireld from my seat at dodgers stadim. ive seen it before...?

miguel has more power and overall talent.

david wright has less power but has better defense.

for flashing purposes.i'd go with cabrera.
