Stadiums hold people, the more people they hold the more earning potential you have. If you don't have a stadium, where are you going to play ?Teams don't usually buy stadiums, but rather have the city pay for them because they have value to the city as an attraction. They are also in many cases used for many other events, not just baseball/football games. Teams would rather worry about managing their team as opposed to managing a stadium.
