Cubs game suspended tonight in 7th due to rain??
Question:They say it'll resume tomorrow before the scheduled matinee game. My question is, shouldn't it be considered an official game and a Cubs victory because it went the mandatory 4.5 innings? Anyone familiar with this rule?

Has a relief pitcher ever came in and allowed the cycle in the same inning he relieved.?
The Pirates hadn't batted yet so it wouldn't be "fair" to call the game. This suspension stuff is new this year. I like it though.
It would not be fair to not let the Pirates go to bat. This suspension stuff is better this year so instead of replaying the whole game they start where they left off. It will start about 25 minutes before the regularly scheduled game tomorrow.
Do you think Barry Bonds deserves to be in the Hall of Fame?
The inning wasn't complete. They will have to complete the bottle of the 7th for it to be fair to the other team.Who is better? Boston Red Sox or New York Yankees?
I agree with you, unless the Cubs scored tying or go ahead runs in the 7th inning. Then the Pirates have the right to a last at bat in the inning. And remember, it MUST go 5 innings unless the home team is ahead at the end of 4.5 and the game is called.Chow!!
The Cubbies scored 4 in the top of the 7th. By rule (Rule 4.00 Starting and Ending a game) when the visiting team scores to tie or take the lead and the home team does not complete its turn at bat before the game becomes called it is a suspended game, and must be completed before the next scheduled game.
