Spring training mean nothing. The year the Sox won the world series, they did pretty bad during spring training. Same goes with the Cardinals. Kansas City always do well during spring training but then sucking it up every year in the real league. I am for sure. They spent way too much money to be this bad in that pitiful division they play in. Still, it's early and as bad as they played so far, they aren't too far behind. Let's wait until the weather warms up so then they can't continue to use that as an excuse as to why they cannot hit, walk, or score runs. It really has nothing to do with it , but last April they were atop the standings before Derek Lee got hurt. Then they fell apart and had one of there worst seasons ever.This years team is much improved with a lot more speed and a couple more home run threats and a pitching staff that has experience and can win.
The real weakness of the team has been the Bullpen, too many games the cubs lost this year with a reliever on the mound, but I fell that they can fix that throughout the season.
As of the time I'm writing this there is still only 1 team in the central division with a winning record (brewers) and the cubs are only 5.5 games out of the league. There's still 5 months left in the season they'll get it together eventually and the bats will heat up.

Yes, they are off to a slow start. But just look at the offense they have. they will start to hit the ball soon. And right now their pitching is the best it has been in years. They have 3 starting pitchers with an ERA under 3 (lilly maq and hill). Zambrano is off to a slow start but it is a contract year for him so he will turn it around. The cubs will be fine.
