Best mlb mcfarlane figure. who is it?

I think it's really stupid that the media is gobbling this story up and making John Hancock a hero. He did many things that could've been prevented and not lead to his death. When you add in alcohol and being behind the wheel, your asking for trouble. Add in Mary Jane, and then being on the cell phone and the chances of getting into an accident where you may be seriously injured or death.

Alot of things could've been prevented and not led to this tragedy, unfortunately people make poor decisions on their part thinking they can handle it. So who's to blame for his death than himself? Him, and now look what happened.

Why is baseball so boring on TV?

I agree. The man showed up at a game last week too drunk and too hungover to pitch against Cincinnati, his former club. It sounds to me like he had a problem with alcohol. And to make matters worse, he drove after becoming anebriated. That, to me, is not hero material.

Can anyone tell me all they know about the Brewers shortstop J.J. Hardy?

I wonder the same thing myself. I am so tired of the media making someone who dies tragically a hero. He was drinking and driving. If I killed myself doing the same thing and someone read it in the paper they would simply think I was an irresponsible idiot.

Can anyone give me 5 softball rules?

He's dead. Give it a rest.

What atlanta hurler converted a grounder by john vander wall into his 388th career put out for a major?

wtf.

Even if he drank you shouldnt be that cavalier about it. A man died, its still a tragedy even if he did something stupid to cause it.
Show some respect son.

Shades of Glory: The Negro Leagues and the Story of African-American Baseball. I need an E-text or anything.?

The autopsy report isn't out yet. How is it that you know what his BAL may have been?

In the meantime, you're question is libellous, not to mention hurtful to everyone who knew the man.

If, IF, his BAL was elevated, it will be in the autopsy report, and that preliminary report is supposed to be available on Friday.

In the meantime, your speculation, which you deem to be fact, is simply inexcusable.

Have some decency here.

Who thinks the mets are having a good season?

Who's making anyone out to be a hero? What, because he's on the news? If being on the news made someone a hero, friggin' Osama bin Laden would be a hero by your stupid rationale!
Also, how do you know he was drunk, anyway? Were you there? I'm glad no one else died, either, but when the person who does die is a Major League ballplayer, IT'S NEWS. And you're not.

How can I become a better baseball batter?

One cannot libel a deceased person.

It's still widely possible to commit acts of bad taste, though.

Can anybody tell me the web site to order Texas Rangers tickets voucher for $39.99?

You can't assume that he was drunk just because he shows up drunk to work couple of week ago. That's just disrespectful. No one made him a hero either. Just because he's on the news doesn't make him a hero. He maybe a hero to his family, family, and teammates, but the media didn't make him a hero just because he's dead.

Has there ever been in the history of MLB a six pitch inning?

You know what? I'm just gonna let you rant on and on about yourself and how superior you and your cause is to any single human life. It's all about YOU, after all! Good luck drumming up empathy for your cause after showing such callous disrespect for a fellow human being by using RUMORS and unsubstantiated information as fact.

What exactly is a double switch in baseball?

You're an idiot. I hope someone runs you over.

Little league rules?

Hancock was no hero. Reports are that he was drunk. When they go public, and it shows that he was drunk, I hope they all take that patch off the jersey!
Lets look at the facts - he was drunk the other night and hit a truck. He did not "fully" remember that event. Then he shows up to the game late because he was hung over. He could not compete. His fellow drunk manager covers for him, but the guys could not pitch because he was too hung over. That is sad.
But here is the simple answer for those of you who take offense to the fact that I would have the gall to talk bad about the dead drunk pitcher - Have someone you love killed by a drunk driver. You will think twice. It has happend to me twice. People I loved were on their way home from work when some drunk piece of trash ran red lights and killed them. So when the reports come back that he was drunk (and they will), then celebrate the fact that he only killed himself, not anyone else. But Hancock - no hero in my book. Just another drunk driver who thought he was above the law.

Who is going to win this years World Series?

They're making his legacy heroic not his choice to drink and drive, if that is the case. And of most people who can honestly say they haven't been behind the wheel after having some drinks. It's a horrible tragedy, a man DIED whether alchohol was involved or not, we should remember the good things about people and not the mistakes they've made. Anyone who puts him down for what happened needs to look at themselves and ask if they're that much differant.

What Happened to Bud Smith from the Cardinals?

Well now the report is out and about the only thing Hamilton wasn't doing was snorting coke off of a hooker while he was driving. Twice the legal limit at .157, weed in the car, talking on the cell phone and not wearing a seatbelt. What a winner. Thankfully the he only took himself out.

The Yankees are finally on the decline! Yes? Anyone?

First of all, just not the person who wrote this, but people in general, I love how they mis-use certain words as in there/their, here/hear and where/were. just a thought. You'd think if people are going to say such negative things, they would at least get their grammar correct so people see their point and they don't look ummmm let's say misinformed.

I agree that he was committing a felony but you know what, people make mistakes. I am relieved, not happy that he didn't kill anyone else; however, he was still young, single and had nothing to worry about. These are the ones who typically make the mistakes because they just don't think. Tragically he didn't live to learn from his mistake.

Josh is not being made a hero, but being remember for how incredible of a player he was . Also, not to mention, they are trying to remember him by something positive and take the focus off of how he died. Because also, after time people will forget that he was an awesome player and only will remember that he died while drinking and driving.

Also for everyone else about him sleeping late and speculation it might have been from being drunk, that is very much possible. But he also was quoted saying a week or so ago that he hated playing day games after night games because sometimes he just drove around to get tired. He bought a new mattress also; therefore, leading me to believe that maybe he did actually sleep late without being intoxicated or hung over. I mean it is possible.

Oh yeah and I have lost someone to a drunk driver. LaQuinta Clark, 23 from Oxford Alabama and her unborn child last September. SO yes, it does hit close to home.

Is Mesa worth his money?

If only that #%@*ing tow truck wasn't in the way!
Tow was there for a stalled Geo. If tow hadn't got there first, minutes or even seconds, it would have been stopped Geo vs. a 68-mph SUV. Josh would be with us today. (Of course he'd have a lawyer who knows the diff between multiple homicide & manslaughter, all the DUI tricks, etc., etc. .)
In a big SUV, wasn't Josh entitled to assume he could drink, and whatever, at speed, able to obliterate any road junk? Isn't that the point of those ads that show a steel robot blowing a fuse against the macho front end of a pick-up?
What is the world coming to when the affluent and successful, winners of World Series rings, almost-billionaire Governors of New Jersey, are not safe on the road in their speeding SUVs? Get those tow trucks the H* out of there!
