Do you think MLB should have the Rickey Henderson award and/or the Nolan Ryan award?

Question:Henderson award to the player who leads the majors in steals for the season and the Ryan award to the player who leads the majors in strikeouts for the season. Not 1 player from each league for each award, only 1 winner for all of MLB. I pick these 2 for Henderson's career steals record will never be broken, same for Ryan's career K's.

Answers:

Should we be surprise if we still find the Brewers in 1st place by the All-Star break? If no, why?

I think more awards are completely unnecessary, especially for categories like SB and K's. Neither category offers a true indicator of a player's performance, just how well they do one specific thing.

I caution anyone about saying records will never be broken. If history has taught us anything it's that you can never predict it. :-)

As an aside to say Nolan Ryan (and his astronomical 2,795 career walks) painted corners is like saying Albert Pujols' high batting averages come from his uncanny ability to bunt.

Why do the astros do sooo much badly on offense??

Sounds good but dont they have to die first?

*edit* oh ya, well I think some kind of Nolan Ryan award is a no brainer and should be given consideration.

Has Kyle Farnsworth earned the right to mouth off about Roger Clemens based on his performance?

No. They'd be just another award no one gives a damn about. Did you know there's a Hank Aaron Award given each season? Any idea who won it last year (no fair looking it up)? Or what its for? Or how its determined? Besides, Rickey Henderson didn't exactly endear himself to a lot of people.

Pete rose move on this home boy bring don't sing it and you move on down ,and i won't slap the back?

Baseball has enough awards. Don't name one after Henderson. His head is too big as it is.

I am coaching little league for the first time. HELP!?

There should definitely be a Nolan Ryan award for pitchers. No one else will ever come close to 7 no hitters in their entire career. Nolan Ryan is by far the best pitcher ever. He could paint the corner with his 100+ mph fastballs and that made him unhitable.

Whats the point of having so many innings in a baseball game??

No

What is the email for Beckett Magazine?

I agree with 4:20. Enough already.
