Who else thinks there should be an * by Barry Bonds home run record?
Question:Like there was for Roger Maris. Does anyone want to get together to start a petition and send it to Selig?
Answers:
What drink will Tony LaRussa salute Josh Hancock with in his memory?
It really doesn't matter if there is an * or not. Ultimately, Barry Bonds and the rest of the juicers will be regarded as sluggers in the "steroid era" and will be judge with or without the *. We all know he cheated, and will go down in history as the Home run King who cheated. 100 years from now, if the record is still standing, people will know about his steroid use with or without the * because it will never be forgotten. Why does everybody say that Barry Bonds is the "face of steroids?"?
I agree the * should be there. However, shouldn't Sammy Sosa have a * next to his soon pending 600th home run. How about letting Pete Rose into the Hall Of Fame with an *. It could get kind of confusing. There should probably be about 300 * . One for home run since he started juicing, whenever that happened.
Can we stick a fork in the N.Y.Yankees...are they done this early in the season?
What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty. When was the last time the cops were allowed to arrest some one for looking like a drug dealer. Until there is irefutable pfoof there should be no asteric. But if he is eventually found guilty then they shouldn't put an asteric there they should put an Rx.tyler, you probly think that OJ is innocent too. it's ok (pats head), you'll grow up one day and be a big boy.
here, eat your peanut butter & jelly sandwich w/ the crusts cut off. don't forget your milkies! momma will change your diaper soon.
look people. it's not a record. sure, put a * next to it. how about putting a "!@#*$%" next to it. it's NOT a record. did i break a record if i dunk on a 20-ft rim but i use anti-gravity boots? sure, i...ahem."broke" a record. for being the world's 2nd biggest cheater next to Bonds.
just shut up w/ the innocent until proven guilty. we all know that our justice system isn't foolproof. just look at OJ. it can happen again, and it already has. it's a good thing that some of you people are so brainwashed that you get all your info from the media and can't make a decision for yourselves. you just wanna hold onto that Bonds rookie card and hope that it's still worth something. give it up. you can still be his fan. but you're just being a fan of a cheater. i'm not saying that Bonds is the worst person on earth. he's a good baseball player. even back in the day. but he has cheated. eventually you'll recognize that. half the game of baseball has probly cheated. and they're more interested in pointing fingers than taking ownership of their actions, policing their own peers, and cleaning up the game.
Does anyone think that the Brewers are for real?
You can't start putting * by peoples names because of steroids because had become such a large part of the game. (There was also no rule in baseball that said it was illegal) If you begin to do that, how will you know when to stop. Should we put as * by the pitching records before the mound was lowered because that also creates a huge advantage? Or what about those batting records from the time before baseball was integrated? They surely weren't playing against the best competition there was so the stats will be inflated just like they are for those that used steroids. Besides no one really knows who or how many players took steroids and you can't just single out a few players.Do Japanese Players have more respect for the game than American Players?
i doWho really owns the baseball home run record for one season?
I don't believe there should be anything next to his name. I only say this because he hasn't been caught doing anything wrong yet. Now do i believe he took steroids? Of course I do! But until he is actually caught, you can't give him an asterisk. What about all the pitchers who took steroids? I would say Bonds is on a even playing field then if pitchers are taking them too.More Questions & Answers...
