He's got the potential to be a real deal. I had him on my team last year, and I learned a lot about him. He went the first 6 starts 2-3 with a 2.73 ERA and had 20+ innings of shutout pitching at one stretch. That was the first half of the year. The rest of the season went with him giving up at least 2 earned runs in each outing. He gave up home runs too often. His WHIP was remarkable for where his ERA was. If he has learned some things to keep the ball in the yard, he definitely has the chance to be a big name. Right now I'm still skeptical mostly because the hitters this season have mostly gotten off to a cold start. As the weather warms up around the league (especially in New York), it is normal to see the bats get warm as well. There are a lot of pitchers right now who have #1 SP numbers.Will A-Rod break the single season HR record?

It's hard to tell. His 5 wins are against mostly last place teams.And the Mets score 7 runs a game for him. That's not to take anything away from his nice era.

i think so. he was drafted in the 6th round because of injuries and signability problems, other wise, he would've been drafted much higher.living 30 minutes from shea, i've seen him pitch quite a bit. this kid has the proper mechanics and stuff to be a great pitcher.
