Away pitcher CG?
Question:in baseball if the home team wins the game can the away pitcher pitch a complete game even tho he only pitched 8 innings
Answers:
Does anyone know where I can find MLB Draft Papers? I think I'm going to declare myself elligible?
Yep. As long as the game is official and the one pitcher makes every pitch and is not relieved, he is credited with a complete game. Here's a rain-shortened example: 27-April-1997, Padres at Braves, Atlanta winning 2-0, game called with one out in the bottom of the fifth. Both Maddux and Valenzuela were credited with complete games.

Do you think the new easton reflex bat is good?
Yes. A complete game can even be 4 innings if the game is called after 4 1/2 innings with the home team ahead. What is the most wins by a pitcher in a single season?
Yes. As long as the pitcher pitched the whole game, it is a complete game no matter how many innings there are.HAHAHA Boston! Roger Clemens is wearing pinstripes again, what do u think about that?
Yes its a complete game but the first answer you got is wrong...the pitcher is not credited with a complete game in the stats unless he at least meets 2 criteria, those being the ones you mentioned...just like if a pitcher pitches a no hitter for 9 innings and gets injured and then someone comes in and gives up a hit, the pitcher at most would get an asterisk next to his name in the books but not an official no hitterWho's been a better manager Bobby Cox, Lou Pinnela, or Joe Torre?
Yes. As long as no other pitcher replaces him.More Questions & Answers...
