they just need to play as a team and hope carpenters rehab goes well.They'll never be able to overtake Milwaukee, especially now that you wont see Carpenter for a few months.

To put it simply, no. Hitters like Rolen and Edmonds are starting to show their age, and Pujols cannot carry the load all by himself.They also entered the year with some already questionable starting pitching, and having Carpenter out now until August is a huge blow. Realistically, this year's Cardinals are probably a below-.500 team.
