Is Kei Igawa still in the rotation?
Question:I saw him pitcing the other day after somebody got taken out from the game ( hit by line-drive I believe). I think he did pretty well in last outing. But I was wondering is he still in the rotation or did they put him in the pen?

he had been moved to the pen when hughes got called up so he could work on his mechanics due to his wild and bad start against the tampa bay devilrays, they were even thinking about demoting him to the minors but now that karstens suffered a broken leg and hughes is out 4-6 weeks with a bad hammy, he will regain a spot in the rotation joining wang, pettitte, mussina tomorrow and possibly darrel rasnerWhat's the most recent team to play in the world series and not hit any home runs?

After Karstens got injured, Igawa pitched really good that day. He should stay in the rotation. If the Yankees make the playoffs again, he will definitely earn a spot on the Playoff rotation.Does anyone think southpark is not the same as it use to be.. or better?
He got moved back into the rotation to replace Karstens, who's out for a while with a broken leg.Also Mussina is coming off the DL to pitch, I believe on Thursday.
Yea he's still in the rotation...he's pitching on friday night against the Seattle Mariners. Kei Igawa did a great job after Jeff Karstens got hit with the ball. He is an amazing pitcher with a lot of potential. GO IGAWA!! GO YANKEES! =)
