What is the difference between a slider and a sinker?

yes, first, the mets are just really really good, for the twins, they have the cy young winner, the reigning MVP, and the batting champ, and unlike what people are saying, their rotation doesnt drop off really dramatically from santana to bonser, although there is definetly a difference. And they have the same lineup as last year that won the AL Central. The starting pitching does have to prove themselves in order for them to have a shot. Their bullpen has no question marks. As you can tell, im a twins fan, not a mets fan

Women baseball fans?

the first week of the season doesnt mean they are the best teams, sure the mets are a possibility, but the twins are in one of the hardest divisions in the league.

What is the lowest attendance for a baseball game?

That would be an excellent match up. I'm not sure the old men pitching for the Mets (two best starters are 41) can hold up all year. If Pedro comes back strong then watch out. And I wouldn't be surprised to see the Mets go and get an arm by the trading deadline. So the Mets are a good pick. They certainly have the lineup to do it. Two teams that I think could give them a run in the NL. The Phillies have great pitching and an awesome lineup. Mets have started better than them however. The second team is the Cubs. Again a slow start, but they look like they will be a good pitching team and the lineup rocks. Mets will be the favorites to go.

Twins will have a harder time. They may be able to ride the arm of Santana (the best pitcher in baseball) to the WS. But they are in the toughest division in baseball and may not even make the playoffs. Tigers, White Sox and Indians are all good. I think the Tigers have got to be the favorites coming out of that division because the have deeper pitching and a better lineup. But who knows in that division. It will be exciting. Plus you can't forget about the Yankees and Red Sox. Both have strong teams and will make a run. It may be a subway series in NY this year.

Stolen basess?

The Meys could make it to the World Series but not the Twins. The Twins won't make the playoffs because other than Johan Santanna there pitching rotation is horrible. The only reason they made the playoffs last year is because Fransisco Liriano pitched great for them but he is out for the season

How do you "roll" or "work in" a softball bat?

it's the first week of the season. chill out

If you were A-Rod's teammate, would you, after a game, put your cup in his face?

I dont think its going to be the twins. It'll be too tough for them to get pass boston which looks better than the 2004 team that won the worldseries. The Yankees who are always stacked and hard to beat in the playoffs. Also the Whitesox which are a very good team and have a great coach that could easily take them back to the worldseries. On the national side I think the Mets have a fairly good shot at making it. You always have the dangerous Cardinals to get through. And the Dodgers will be tough once again. So both teams will have hard routes to get there but I'm not counting either team out, both are very good teams.

Are there any White Sox fans out there? Who is your favorite player? Mine is Thome. :o)?

I can see The Muts going, but not sure about Minnesota.

While Minnesota does have a good team, that Central Division is one tough cookie to crack.

3 teams there all have an equally good chance to take it all (Cleveland, Detroit, and Minnesota. Sorry, whiny sux you are out of contention this year. BYE!)

But if Minnesota does make it, I'll be rooting for them 100%.

I know ESPN won't say this because bias.. But does anyone fear the Anaheim Angels? 6 game lead?

I would like that,, My wife likes the twinkies and i love the mets

On average, how long does a professional baseball game last?

If that was the World Series it would be a pretty good series. But the New York Mets would win.

Not that it bothers me, but why is Roger Clemens in the habit of pitching late into the season?

Yes the Mets will make it to the World Series this year. It doesn't make any difference who we play because we are going to win it all.

Lets Go Mets!
