Who do you like better or would like to see on your team; Jeter or Reyes? Explain?
Forget all the 'practice, practice, practice' talk. Hitting groundballs all the time is a flaw in your swing mechanics. Here's what you have to do. You have to concentrate on leveling out your swing. You want a NICE LEVEL swing. No uppercut, but also not chopping down on the ball.
Another common mechanical flaw is for hitters who crouch or bend at the knees. If you're doing this, you might be coming out of the crouch when you swing. This raises your body level and causes you to get on top of the ball. Best way to fix that is not to crouch, stand more upright. If you still -want- to bend at the knees a lot, you have to concentrate on staying down in that crouch when you swing. It can be tricky.
Tee-ball is a great way to work on these things. Put the ball on a tee and concentrate on hitting nice, straight line drives. Get yourself used to that.
Also... hitting a baseball has nothing to do with swinging hard. You hit the ball hard by making good contact, by hitting the ball with the sweet spot of the bat, right in the middle of the barrel.
Don't swing hard. Swing right. You dig bro? Lots of luck and if you need more pointers, drop me an e-mail at primeoffense@yahoo.com
You need to practice, practice, practice.
Try using an uppercut swing in situations that you will need to hit a fly ball.
Concentrate during B.P. on hitting fly balls, eventually you will translate your swing accordingly.
What does it mean when they say 4-6-3 on double plays?
when the ball comes you wither pop it up or hit it low. you must be hitting it low swinging downward. if u wanna stop hitting ground balls your gonna have to make the rotation of your bat go upward if you really want to stop hitting ground balls. but u gotta work on it because its hard to get out of batting habits like hitting ground ballsWho is the bigger cheat Barry Bonds or Floyd Landis ?
You may be swinging down on the ball, or topping it. Make sure you keep your eye on the ball and swing level. Then you will hit frozen ropes all day!Isn't Jackie Robinson overrated?
Go out there with the bat and visualize. See in your mind's eye where the ball might be, as it is pitched to you -- and as you swing, do so in slow motion and visualize where the ball will meet the bat. Use a little physics in your imagination, and you will get a good idea of where the ball will be hit. Then after a few days of this, speed it up (without the ball -- just you and the bat).

Why is my son suddenly hitting the baseball off the handle of the bat.what can he do to carrect it?
Well, ground balls are'nt always bad. They're better than pop flies. Also. most of the time when you hit a ground ball they are going to make an error. And you're probably not built for hitting long line drives or fly balls. Like me.Helping a friend with baseball!!?
You are hitting "on top" of the ball and driving it into the ground, which means you are getting ahead of the ball. Stay more on your back foot and drive through the ball, that way you'll get more lift, and more fly balls.strike out
it is proboly because you are swinging level. try to swing up a little bit and make sure you keep you head down on the ball.

Patrick ... dont worry. it sounds like your hitting the top of the ball ... thats great. It means you are seeing the ball well and putting the ball in play. When the ball goes up your under neath it.More Questions & Answers...
