Who do you think is the best 2nd Baseman in Baseball today? And Why?

My humble opinion

1B - Albert Pulos I dont know how well he would hitting now if he had a great hitter following him, and hes always improving

2B- Biggio especially circa 1992 or so this guy did it all

SS -A. Rod I dont care if hes moved to 3rd his best years were at SS

3B- Rolen might be a hall of famer if he stays healthy the next 2 years, scary when he is

C Pudge Rodriguez- Ive never seen such a great defensive/offensive combination at this position I rate him in the top 3 all time with Bench and Berra

OF Bonds- again hate the attitude but you cant contest the numbers
OF Junior Griffey- man the true meaning of words like "prodigy" and "phenom" If only he would have stayed healthy would have been a modern day Hank Arron
OF Jim Edmonds- I now he has never been the best contact hitter but man one of the top defensive CF of all time for my money

SP Roger Clemens- Man again with the attitude but ill never forget the 3 years of cy youngs and a better all round pitcher than many aready in the hall
SP Randy Johnson- for awhile there I would have taken my chances with him on the mound against anyone.
SP Tom Glavine- the very deffinition of consistancy and poise if this guy was more flashy would have been really famous
SP Greg Maddux- as a Cardinal fan was hard for me to watch him with the cubs but this guy is a top control pitcher never seen a guy paint the corners and be as efficent as him
SP Pedro Martinez- one of the few guys who backed up what he said a scary talent who had some real guts too

RP Hoffman- not a big fan of closers but with his longevity and changeup id put him in the hall

Off of these positions I would have to take Ivan Rodrigez for his position I mean he might be best ever at one of the hardest positions and hes all class. If A-rod stayed at SS he would be first so hes the close second. I love Pujos but its too soon to say hes better than them and Bonds was a horrid defender the last 6 or so years I mean look at what pudge is still doing. For pitcher I would take Cemens for consistancy over his whole career even at 40 plus hes a top 20 starter can you say that about anyone else right now?

it is definitely barry bonds.
no matter how much people hate him due to steroids, if you takae away 300 hrs and hed still have over 400.
finishing in second is a player you wouldnt expect -- Trevor Hoffman. he is lights out.
But the player who will be the greatest currently playing at the end of his career will probably be reyes. Howard and pujols dont get sbs, and reyes does get HRs.

jose reyes. he has the speed, the power, the average, and the defense. he is the most exciting player in the game. most people would say pujols. i would agree except for 1 reason. there are many players like pujols who put up and good average and many homeruns. my point is that there are many players you could have that are similar to pujols, now reyes, there are no players in baseball that can help ur team like jose reyes. thus making him the best.
