IF you could own a baseball team who would they be and why?
Funny you should ask I heard an interview with Nolan Ryan this morning and he was asked why all the pitchers were getting hurt,It was his opinion that pitch counts start so early in life that pitchers arms never get in good shape. Now I know that goes againest all the "expert" advice, but think about it.Kids use to throw all day long,if not on a diamond we were in the streets.I honestly can't remember a sore arm on a 12 year old.The rules of the league will limit his outings as for pitch count.throw it away. You might limit the breaking pitches but thats about it.Is there anyone Who actually thinks Hank Aaron is in the same league as Barry Bonds ?
Do all the pitchers throw the same number of pitches? How big is he?
He's still growing but hey, I used to play play play when I was 12 and playing baseball in my neighborhood.
100 pitches once a week is average for a twelve year old on a travel team. Just make sure he does't pitch more than once a week if he is throwing that many pitches. Also, ice the arm after he pitches

How many of you are baseball fans?
i play travel , and i'm 14 and 8th grade and 95 is the limit but cuz of his age around 60 , 70 pitches cuz he is still growing , don't want to hurt his arm, my friend his dad pushed him travel and other and 100 + pitches a week and than had to get Tommy john surgery , don't hurt his armYour 12 year old son should wait 4 days if throwing over 70 pitches anything under that should 2-3 days.
Why are the red sox wearing green today??
he should throw more than 70 pitches every 5 days. Also do not let him learn any special pitches until he's in high school. Curveballs and sliders can ruin your arm at such a young age. Maybe a splitter or a change up but nothing that makes him twist his wrist.100 pitches is not that much. but you need to be careful about warming up and stretching. Anyone throwing that much definately needs to be fit and stretched out. Have him eat tons of healthy food. Im not sure if your son is throwing curves and change-ups, but im sure he is. When I was 14 we were allowed 7 Curves/Change-ups per inning. A 12 year olds shoulder mucels and biceps have not fullu matured. And throwing Junk could really screw up his arm. Good luck to your son.
Is it true that the MLB draft will be broadcast on tv this year? If so which channel will it air on?
Every weekend is not too bad as long as its not year round, but you probably want his pitch count at around the 60 to 80 pitch range. What ever happen to Chris Sabo?
