What is a newspaper/magazine just for baseball information?
Question:My son used to pick on up years ago that was a magazine. It doesn't really matter mag or newspaper, just something specifically for baseball only.

Baseball Digest is devoted solely to baseball, but its articles are not very sophisticated. Pretty basic stuff.The only baseball-only periodical I can recommend any more is Baseball America. All baseball, only baseball, good writing, extensive coverage of minor league systems.
The Sporting News used to be "the baseball bible," but has cut way back on its baseball coverage and added football, hockey etc. I quit subscribing years ago.
USA Today Sports Weekly used to be Baseball Weekly, but they started adding football, auto racing and other crap 5 or 6 years ago. Baseball coverage is mostly fantasy related. Dont waste your money...
If you want some good online historical baseball coverage, go to www.paperofrecord.com . From that sight you can get free online access to The Sporting News from the late 1800s to recent years. Search engine is a little primitive, but its fun to go back and read old baseball coverage from decades ago.
