I'm looking for Red Sox tickets for my brother. What is considered an obstructed view at Fenway Park?
Question:PLEASE ONLY RESPOND IF YOU KNOW THE ANSWER. DO NOT TELL ME TO GO TO seatdata.com TO SEE THE VIEWS BECAUSE THAT DOESN'T ANSWER MY QUESTION. In the grandstand sections, there are poles which could block your view. I don't know if an obstructed view is only if the pole blocks the batter and catcher or if it's when a pole is in your line of sight not necessarily blocking home plate. I can't find the answer on any of the sites I've looked on. PLEASE HELP.

I had obstructed view once last year against the Angels , it was terrible , I was sitting behind a green beam that was holding the upper deck up.I would say that an obstructed view is a seat not more than four rows behind a pole with part of the infield (possibly the pitcher, batter, or any of the bases) obscured. In Fenway it is not possible to get a seat that has a completely unobstructed view in the Grandstand, so they have to be deliberate in using that term. If it says ubstructed, it's probably pretty ubstructed. I'd suggest spending the extra bucks to get a reasonable (unobstructed) seat, it's a great park if you can find one.
Obstructed views are: sitting behind the green beams that hold up the roof and upper decks.
I lived in Boston my whole life. Fenway park is old and was built with a lot of steel beams that hold up the second story. The seats that are behind these beams are obstructed view.
A lot of times you can move to better seats if people don't show up or in the late innings people go home, especially if the sox are getting blown out.
Go when fat boy Schilling is pitching, that's the best chance for this to happen.
