Who is the astros all time home run hitter?
good question. nobody really has done a study about it, however, the ballpark percentages for a man on first base to score with no outs is 60%, and a man on third base with no outs is about 95%. that number is so high because a ball that is just made contact with will probably score the runner. it really depends on the situation or the inning, but those are the "odds" baseball players agree on.What baseball team do you like more?..?
several factors come into play during this question, a good question might i add. First, let's name the factors and assume a situation. The pitcher, the fielders, the batters coming up, the arm of the catcher, so on and so forth. If the average batter gets a hit 1 out of 3 at bats, odds are that 1 of the next three batters will get a hit. Assuming that the runner on first is not Rickie Henderson, and that the fielders are all able bodied, and that the hitter will not be Barry Bonds, lets just assume the man on first will only get to third on a single but will score on a double, triple, or a home run. If the hitter past balls, walks, balks, over throws are all things in favor for the runner. All scenarios taken into acount, I would say that the chances of scoring from 1st with no outs is actually fairly good, maybe somewhere between 40 and 60 %. But several things could change your odds very quickly.More Questions & Answers...
