Do you believe... in the Brewers?
Question:The Milwaukee Brewers currently have the best record in MLB at 18-9. They have great pitching and a young team. They are near the top in all major offensive categories in the NL.
I'm a Brewers fan and have been for life. Is this another fast start only to fizzle out come August/September as we have seen time and time again from the Brew Crew? Or are they for real?

Scott,Someone said the Orioles did this in 2005, then fell off the planet in the second half. I say look at the flip of that - in 2005 the White Sox came out of the gate hot, and out of nowhere they took over baseball. Everyone said they would fade since they had no history of winning like that - and since other teams were favored. We even got to hear the old "Yankees and Red Sox only" from those strokes at ESPN.
But what did the White Sox end up doing - Winning 99 regular season games - and going 11-1 in the post-season.
The Brew Crew is for real. They have good starting pitching, decent relief, a great closer, some speed, some power, and a great coach who has this team motivated. They also play in a division where no one is that dominant.
I expect to see Milwaukee compete all year long. All it takes is to get in the playoffs. St. Louis showed that last year. And I believe the Brewers will get there.
Rumored that the Pittsburgh Pirates have retired number 21 twice. Do not know the answer. True?
I am a Braves fan but keep up with all teams because of fantasy baseball. I think that the Brew Crew is for real this year. The pitching looks really good from top to bottom through starters and bullpen. If Hardy and boys keep the offense going with the pitching then they will be around come playoff time.How far is the second base from the pitcher's mound?
I want to believe but i cant just wait till mid season thats just to good of a record for such a low ranking team ( no offense) but its still just the beginning of the season.In your opinion what caused the Cubs-Sox rivalry?
I think the Brew Crew are for real this year and they can win the Central because the Astros, Reds and Cards are in the toilet this year. I think if they get one more good hitter they can go to the World Series.Should HGH be tested for in all (american) pro athletics.?
They are doing Good I have them as a guess to make the Playoffs, but that is in the wild card, I belive they will slip sometimes this year but do good in the end to get a playoff fan, If the brewers can make so can the braves who are also having a great start, GO BRAVESI've been saying for some time that this is a team to watch. Their biggest weakness is inexperience. I definately think they make the playoffs and who knows they could win it all.
Everybody was waiting for the Tigers to fail last year and it didn't happen until the Cardinals took it to them in the World Series.

No I dont believe in them, because this has happened before to lots of other teams. The Baltimore Orioles were in this exact situation in the 2005 season, then the All Star Break came, and they were miserable after that. The last half of the season is much more important than the first half, because as long as a team stays in contention through the first half, they still have a shot to make the playoffs if they can turn on the heat in the last half.Bonds end his career as a yankee?!?!?!?
Scott, unless they get derailed by injuries, this is their year. The starting pitching is easily the best in the Central, and the starting nine are very good as well. All they need is health, and they should take the Central by a pretty good margin.What is the Pittsburgh Pirates themesong???
The Brewers are a fun team to watch. They have a lot of likable young players. The NL Central appears to be pretty open this year. The Cards began to come back to earth at mid season last year that just happened to get hot in the playoffs. The Cubs are well the Cubs. On paper they always appear pretty strong, but when they actually get on the field they just don't get the job done.The Reds and Pirates I think are still a step behind the Brewers. So if the Brew Crew stay healthy they have a legit shot at taking the NL Central this year!
