Question:Any explanation as to why he hes doing so poorly so far this year? Its startling to see him so lost at the plate, especially after the way hes hit ever since he came up to the show in '04.

He looks to me like his timing at the plate is bad. Last year he looked more balanced at the plate. This year he has been on his front half.Did the Red Sox Win Tonight???
It's still early. I see no reason why he won't start hitting soon. However, Philly can be very unforgiving to slumping athletes.In my view as a Phillies fan, he's having a hard time coping with the confusion around him as well as the pressure to repeat the last 2 seasons. He cannot seem to adjust during the game to the pitcher he is facing...he stands exactly the same for each at bat, no matter what. He must adjust!

First of all it's very early in he season. Secondly, every ball player goes through these types of slumps. I'm not concerned because he is too talented not go come out of it. He will be fine.
