So are the cubs using soriano all wrong?

do you think it makes any sense?

If Mark McGwire was about the break the record, would you bash him as much as you bash Barry?

Whats wrong with minnesota?

he was a good lead off hitter last year. The cubs are cursed.

Is Albert Pujols on Steroids?

Soriano is now part of the cursed Cubs tradition. He'll either break a body part in the coming years or he'll post sub par numbers every year until he leaves Wrigley.

Which mlb players is in your fantasy?

We he gets on base and scores run.they are using him for that. he is gonna hit his homeruns but you need somebody with speed who will get ya runs. its kinda a double edge sword with him. Use him for runs or for rbi's. He gonna get both na mean? i think he is fianlly coming around. He is a statisical machine dunn. holla.

Who was the first Altoona Curve player to hit the Skyliner roller coaster?

I think hes their best option at lead off right now, because of his speed.Theres Theriot, but Theriot is best suited to no. 2.I still think when Pies bat comes around,he will be leading off and Soriano will be batting 5th.

Do you think the Mets can win the World Series with a rotation of Pedro, El Duque, Glavine and John Maine?

Actually, I live in DC and went to almost two dozen Nats games and he lead off all of them (as well as the games I didn't see).

He shouldn't be the lead off guy. He is a great No. 2 hitter and on any other club a decent 3 or 4. There are rumors that Jim Hendry and/or Lou told him he would be the lead off guy to help assuage his ego. As it is, word here in DC is that he was the lead off guy here because Frank Robinson didn't want to fight with him after he refused to take the field in his first spring training game.

As for who should lead off -- I have no idea. The Cubs are loaded with people to hit second (Soriano, Theriot, Murton, Pie). I would like to see a line up of Pie, Theriot, Lee, Ramirez, Soriano, Barrett, DeRosa, Izturis, pitcher. And I never want to see the name "Cedeno" in any Cub line up.

Who is the best team in the MLB? Who will win the championship?

ok first of all, he DID lead off last year with the nats so ur wrong there. secondly, he wants to lead off and thats what he prefers plus they really don't have a legitmate lead off type guy other than him. he just happens to be able to hit 40 jacks and steal 40 bases. i personally think he would be much better at the 2 or 3 slot but and i think if they kept juan pierre thats where he'd be hitting but thats just my opinion.

What is nats wolff email?

He was lead off in Texas and in Washington and did just fine.

I think the guy is just in a funk and needs to catch fire soon. Hang in there for now. That's all you can do.

Lee only has 1 homerun.

In MLB, how soon can a free agent be traded after he signs with a team?

I think that he should be moved back one or two spaces, they have Derrick Lee to bat 4 and they really have a big hole in the 3 spot compared to what soriano can do there. he can get rbi's, HR and expect alot of production from him if he is moved back, although he has a couple of good games in a row

Becase of Barry Bonds using steroids, I dont think he deserves to hold the home run record. Am I the only one?

I followed Soriano last year (since he was on my fantasy team) and he did often bat leadoff last year. While it's true that he has power, he also does get on base regularly and is a serious stolen base threat.

Your point is valid, though. If he were batting third or fourth, he would get many more RBI's. It's a tough choice to have to make when a player is as multi-talented as he is.

(PS: You keep saying that those of us who say Soriano did lead off last year are wrong. Well,.......)

Is the NL East the toughest division in the MLB?

Soriano led off last year bro, maybe you should be asking that question first.

As for leading off, he hits there because a)the cubs don't have any better options at the moment; pie isn't ready and Theriot doesn't play everyday b)the cubs promised him he would lead off when he was signed c)his numbers would probably go down if you took him out of the lead off spot because that is where he is comfortable (cause that's where he has gotten the majority of his starts in his career) and d) he has speed, speed, speed; you move him down in the lineup and you take away his legs.

Does the run count?

I think they should use D. Lee to lead off and bat Soriano in the 8 spot. Who CARES?
