If MLB can have a fan thrown out and banned from a stadium because shining a flashlight at players could potentially put the players in harm's way, why isn't testing picking up drunk or stoned players better? Having a drunk or stoned pitcher throw at your head at 95mph isn't a threat? If MLB was doing a good job testing might have even saved this guy. Sad.

Well he wasn't drunk on the field. I don't think it is MLB's responsibilty to make sure guys don't have a few drinks on a Saturday night after a game. These guys are over 21 years old. He just made a poor decision to drive afterwards.

He arrived at the place he went to for drinks 2 hours after the game and spent about 4 more hours there. Are you advocating not allowing them to pursue legal activities during their off hours? And as far as the pot, I'm sure he was using but so far no toxicology report is back on that so until then its a moot point.How would drug testing have stopped him from drinking 2 hours after the game?
