What is wrong if MLB's drug testing? The St Louis pitcher would tragically died recently was drunk and had

Question:pot in his truck. If MLB can have a fan thrown out and banned from a stadium because shining a flashlight at players could potentially put the players in harm's way, why isn't testing picking up drunk or stoned players better? Having a drunk or stoned pitcher throw at your head at 95mph isn't a threat? If MLB was doing a good job testing might have even saved this guy. Sad.

Detroit tigers how many wins 95?

Hmmm - ok I don't know much about baseball but it seems like the question is if baseball bans a fan from the game for some flashlight thing citing safety - why aren't they doing more about keeping drunk/stoned players off the field.

I think he has a point because mj use stays in your system for a while.

OWD - I'm i right?

How is a pitcher's ERA computed?

There is nothing wrong and everything right with drug testing. It is, however, something that must be worked out between MLB and the Player's Association. This is the same as mandatory drug testing in the workplace - it's been approved as part of the labour negotiations, or it's a part of the contract that is signed by every employee.

However, it might not have saved Hancock's life.

Random question?

Well he wasn't drunk on the field. I don't think it is MLB's responsibilty to make sure guys don't have a few drinks on a Saturday night after a game. These guys are over 21 years old. He just made a poor decision to drive afterwards.

Who is better? Boston Red Sox or New York Yankees?

there's no way of telling if he had been caught, that he would have stopped using anyway, there was certainly nothing that could stop him from just breaking the rules again if he felt like...so it's silly in my opinion to say that mlb's drug testing systems may have cost this guy his life...it was just a poor decision on his part to drive drunk and/or stoned

When will Barry break Hank Aaron's home run record?

What's sad? You think it's MLB responsibility to make sure players don't drink and drive? and what does this have to do with shining a flashlight in players eyes? I don't understand your logic.

Can anybody show me some good techniques for pitching?

He arrived at the place he went to for drinks 2 hours after the game and spent about 4 more hours there. Are you advocating not allowing them to pursue legal activities during their off hours? And as far as the pot, I'm sure he was using but so far no toxicology report is back on that so until then its a moot point.

How would drug testing have stopped him from drinking 2 hours after the game?
