Why are there 16 teams in NL and 14 in AL?
Question:With 6 teams in AL Central and only 4 in AL west? Why did they move Milwaukee to NL to create an imbalance?

Are you guys happy that the yankees are in last place?
Maybe they plan on making an expansion team or something, it may be based on some other factors like drafting out of country or maybe a money bracket idk for certain I'm not really a baseball guy.Who will the yankees start pitching tomorrow april 6th (friday) against baltimore?
In 1994, Major League Baseball adopted a new expanded playoff system. This change would necessitate a restructuring of each league from two divisions into three. The Brewers were transferred from the old AL East division to the newly created AL Central. Before the 1998 regular season began, two new teams - the Arizona Diamondbacks and Tampa Bay Devil Rays - were added by Major League Baseball. This resulted in the American League and National League having fifteen teams. However, in order for MLB officials to continue intraleague play, both leagues would need to carry an even number of teams, (within the league not al vs. nl) so the decision was made to move one club from the AL Central to the NL Central.
This realignment was widely considered to have great financial benefit to the club moving. However, to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest, Commissioner Bud Selig decided another team should have the first chance to switch leagues. The choice was offered to the Kansas City Royals, who ultimately decided to stay in the American League.[1] The choice then fell to the Brewers, who, on November 6, 1997 elected to move to the National League. Had the Brewers elected not to relocate, the Minnesota Twins would have been offered the opportunity to switch leagues. [2]
Where can I find old films of Rudy Fernandez?
Because of the expansion teams that came in years ago, like the Diamond Backs, Rockies, Marlins, & Devil Rays. Also remember the Brewers were move from the AL to the NL, dont know why but that could be why we have more teams in one division. Also, there might be chance in the future that another expansion team will join the AL, that way it will balance out both divisions. The AL West is a pretty good division to add another team in there, that way it will make it more challenging and both leagues have a balance competition in each division bracket.Does any body know if there is a baseball tournment going on in Steamboat Colorado?
I don't know the exact reasoning behind it myself, other than geography. But if geography is the only reason, why not make them AL central instead of switching leagues? Personally, I think if the Rangers count as being in the West, there's no reason a team in Wisconsin can't be. It's not like the Rangers and Mariners are real close, and teams fly everywhere, so the interdivision trips wouldn't be that big of a deal. The only other thing I can think of is to have an even number in both leagues (not even with eachother, just an even number rather than an odd number). That isn't really necessary though. It's not like divisions need even numbers, so why leagues? Just another pointless part of the Selig era.
Jonny Damon and the Red Sox -> Yankees?
There has to be an even amount of teams in both leagues so that every team can play each day or 2 teams can have an off day every once in a while. If both leagues were split 15-15, 1 team per league would have an off day every day of the season since 14 teams would play each other in the NL and AL respectively with 1 team having nobody to play unless they played interleague. The Brew Crew moved to the NL due to the induction of the Wild Card and the D'Backs and Devil Rays. In 1994, the introduction of the Wild Card split the leagues from 2 Divisions (East/West) into the current 3 Divisions (West/Central/East), and the Brew Crew were part of the AL Central. In 1998 when the D'Backs and D'Rays came into MLB, the AL and NL would have had 15 teams each, therefore an AL team had to switch over to the NL. It could also be said that the Brewers switched due to Selig being the owner and grew up a Milwaukee Braves fan and had an affinity for the NL.
Why doesn't the Giants' manager Bruce Boochy use reliver Johnathan Sanchez very often?
Because if there were 15 teams in each league they would either have one team from each league idle for days at a time or they would constantly have to schedule interleague series. Because of the rule differences in the NL and AL, they want to save interleague play for designated times, so they set it up so that there will be an even number of teams in each league. If MLB ever expands to 32 teams, the AL will probably get the two new teams, but that won't happen anytime soon.
Oh, and the reason that divisions are allowed to have uneven numbers and leagues aren't is because interdivisional play is normal. InterLEAGUE play is the only thing that the owners want to avoid having to do on a regular basis.
