We live in a country where you are innocent until proven guilty. Barry Bonds hasnt been convicted of using steroids, and until then he is innocent. Not unless he is found to be in violation of the rules such that he runs afoul of the only two instances such a harsh sanction is imposed -- gambling or complicity with gambling on one's own team games, or a fourth violation for steroid usage.The Hall will have to deal with his candidacy in due time, and currently has no restrictions on eligibility except the one about not being on MLB's permanently ineligible list.
My opinion, Bonds earned his Hall plaque when he stepped on the field on Opening Day of his tenth season.
