Does anyone think that the Brewers are for real?

Question:The Brewers will win there division and be close to the world series. Anyone disagree?

Does Dice-K Matsuzaka throw at 3/4's delivery?

I really thought that be a contender last year. They've got the pitching and good young nucleus to win the division and be a threat in the NL playoffs. Of course this assuming they stay healthy. And being a Cardinals fan I hate to admit this.

Do you think they will get the Met Yankee game in on Friday Night?

Who cares its all about the Mets baby!!

What does everyone think the total amount of wins the Detroit tigers will have this year?

I think they are a very good young hitting team that should not be taken lightly.

It's a little early to hand them the division this point in the season.

As for the playoffs. They are currently on pace if all goes well and no key injuries.

The L.A. Dodgers will all be wearing the number 52 on April 15 to celebrate the debut of Jackie Robinson .?

I think they have a very good chance at winning the central, sure. I also think that the Central is a very inflated division. People say the NL West is bad, but pound for pound I think the Central is even worse. I think they will draw the Mets or Braves (whoever wins the East) and lose in the first round of the playoffs. At the end of the day they are very young and young teams are very capable of playing great in streaks, but tend to fall apart as the season moves on. Remember, they got off to a pretty good start last year too.

My retort to why people are down on the NL Central:
Look at the records last year. Look at the records in interdivision play. The Central division was way under .500, and this year not much has changed. Look, the West isn't going to set the world on fire. After the Dodgers I don't really think there is a team that will be consistantly competitive (MAYBE Arizona, but they're really young too), but face the facts and look at it OBJECTIVELY (that ESPN argument is a bunch of crap, it's straight numbers). There just isn't a team that is overly scary in the central. If there is one it's Miluakee, but like I said they're young and young teams are classicly inconsistent. Like I said, they got off to a really nice start last year too.

Hey! what is this about david ortiz possibly having used steroids?

I think the Brewers will make some noise in the Central. With the Cards' pitching not solid as they have been in the past, it will come down to the Brewers or the Reds. As far as Brewers going to the World Series, I think it will be either the Braves or Dodgers this year.

Has any team ever had 3 players hit over 40 home runs in 1 season?

Everyone keeps stomping on the NL Central. I don't get it. Just because they're not in ESPN's love triangle of the Yankees, Red Sox, and Mets, people are quick to blow off any good team in the division as a fluke. But wait, what division has won the last three NL Pennants and last year's World Series? This when the "experts" all said the Mets were a lock to represent the NL in the October Classic. I've been a Brewers fan my entire life but was born two years after their last post season appearance and barely remember the last time they had a winning season. The Brewers this year have the best combination of young talent and veteran leadership quite possibly since the days of Harvey's Wallbangers. It's exciting to finally watch a Brewers team take the field that expects to win everyday instead of hoping not to lose. The Central is theirs for the taking. And anything can happen in the playoffs when an 83-79 team from a "crap division" wins it all. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I have a good feeling about the Brewers, after all 1957, 1982, 2007 good things come in 25's. Oh and a final note to all the disillusioned Cubs fans out there who think playoffs can be bought. $300M in back loaded contracts to talented players with no chemistry backed by a disgruntled ownership is a good step towards another bad century.

Would you impressed with Daisuke Matsuzaka's season debut against the Kansas City Royals?

We'll see if they are for real when the have to play the true best team of the NL... the Braves.
