Question:I just saw them get swept at home by the BUMS, after nearly getting swept by the Madres. There is absolutely no offense on this team. 12 hits 1 run? Bases loaded = guaranteed double play. RALLY KILLERS! ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHH. Why is Rich Aurilia the No.5 HITTER? Why didn't we get Vlad Guerrero? Are we just tanking and banking on the homerun record and the all star game. WHAT A WASTE.

No, hang in there! This rotation will settle down and be one of baseballs best. Maybe we'll even see Tim Lincecum before the seasons done, will make the staff even better. As for the old guys-I think you'll see more runs score before its over. 12 hits, one run is a freak occurrence. I don't think you'll be seeing many of those. I agree that the starting 8 are a little long in the tooth, but I also think they have enough left in the tank. living here in the bay area i feel your frustration. Its still too early to panic, but man does this team look old and lifeless. They can't seem to get a clutch hit when it counts and their pitching through the first few was horrible. Isn't the starting pitching supposed to be their strong point? What happended to Zito and Cain? Morris is the only one to pull out a victory?I hope they turn it around but we could be in for a looooong season.

Giants fans were actually expecting the "HIGHLY" overrated Barry Zito to be their savior. He's 0-2 with a of 8.18 era pitching in the NL west. They could have paid Schmidt a lot less to do that.How many home runs do you think a-rod whill hit this season?
For all you morons that think Barry Zito is one of the best leftys, get a clue!! I've been an A's fan since I was 12 years old and I have seen what Zito can do. He had one good year, his Cy Young award year, and since then everybody has caught on to his curve and he can't win more than 10 games. I said all along that Zito was overrated, then the Giants pay him $100+ million and he lost his first two games. The A's bullpen saved Zito's as s many times, and now that he doesn't have that backup he won't win more than 7 or 8 games. Usually since I've watched them since the 70's, if they have a great spring training, they will have a slow start, but if their spring training is lousy, the season will look good until the last month. Yes, they are toast. I think the Barry Bonds signing was the official sign that this team is not serious about winning. The only reason that Bonds was signed is because the home run record chase will put butts in the seats.The starting pitching is average, but a starting lineup of position players that includes Barry Bonds, Rich Aurilia, Ryan Klesko, and Omar Vizquel at this stage of their careers, does not have a prayer.
