Who cares about Barry Bonds!!?
Question:Ok i'm a huge Padres fan and they have gotten off to a good 2-0 start beating the Giants. And last nights game was a great come from behind victory for the Pads. So why is it that every internet/news media sports station reports "Barry hits a homerun, to pull withen 20 of Aaron"? Who cares what that juiced up idot does. I am quickly realizing that this is turning into a raunt, much less a questions...so then i ask you what are your thoughts, is Bonds breaking the homerun record that big of a deal? Will anyone even honor him breaking it?

MLB sluggers' special batting habits?
Hank Aaron was the home run king when I grew up, he's been for my entire life, and he always will be, regardless of what Barry Balco does. The only person who cares if Barry breaks this record is Willie Mays.
And quite frankly... I still think Babe Ruth was the most dominant power hitter of all time, regardless of Aaron.
Aaron played something like 5 years longer and had a ton more at bats. If the Babe had played that long, he'd have probably crushed 1,000 longballs. Especially if he played against the bum pitchers teams trot out there in those tiny little ballparks these days.
Ruth could hit 100 a year against modern pitching.
Baseball fan poll here. Your vote would be greatly appreciated.?
I couldnt agree with you more. Your in San Diego, I'm in New York and it seems that everywhere in between, everyone hates Bonds except for the idiots in San Fran who worship him.i don't care about him either and i hope he dosen't break Hank aaron's record, and i REALLy hope he won't get into the hall of fame becasue he is a freakin cheater. i mean hank aaron hit 7 hundred and whatever home runs with NATURAL ABILITY
What is the greatest city in the world?
To even ask the question points out that he is an important figure that means alot to the world of sports. I am actually someone not against him. That doesn't mean I like Bonds, but I see no reason to just single out him when the problem was league wide. The pitchers who were pitching the homeruns were juiced too. The final result will be a new Homerun king with no asterik next to the number. People will just remember that he played in the Steroid Era and each will make their own interpretations. I am just enjoying watching probably one of the top 3 players ever finish out his career while he still plays. Even way before the monster HR year he was a tremendous 40-40 player. Also, if the Padres were 10-0 that would maybe be a story, but 2-0 is not anything special yet. Do people write stories on teams in the middle of the season on 2 game winning streaks?
Is alex rodriguez ging to stay in New York?
I hope he breaks it. I am going to enjoy listening to all you anti-democracy folks cry about it.Baseball--Who holds the major league record for "Most Total Bases in One Game"?
I can't stand him.Since he is guilty of juicing.
I have lost all respect for him.
He is also not fan friendly at all.
What 4 currently active major league baseball players were playing in 1986?
I'm a huge Giants fan but think that the Padres and not the Dodgers will win the West. Just statistically and truthfully speaking..Anyways, I still care about Barry and his quest to break the record. Come to think of it, he may step down after breaking it and making the negative thinking people happy.. Has anyone analyzed it in that manner? No more Barry after the record??? Now, who will they badmouth and accuse of gambling or steroids???
I'll honor it because i've watched Willie Mays, Bobby Bonds, Bobby Bonds Jr., and now Barry all in person. Their gene pool is amazing and they perform at a level above a normal player. I don't think it was steroids because the proof is absent, he is big but not defined or cut, he stays injured and does not recover quick and no test showed positive for steroids.
