All Star Jerseys?

Question:Besides marketing reasons, what is the purpose of the All-Star jersey if it's just used for homerun derby? Should players wear the all-star jersey for games?

Baseball Standings. half game, full game behind?

It is primarily for marketing. Anything for a buck. I can't think of any other reason.

Just like the "alternate" jerseys.
