It's their offense... the bats have not gotten going yet...I mean Lance Berkman is off to a horrible start, El Cabello has dried up a lil... Ensberg is not hitting... zilch from Everette.about the only two regular starters that are coming thru with the bats are "Old Man" Biggio (3 triples already) and Ausmus (.286 avg. hope it doesn't start flat-lining now that I've brought it up.).and the ones that are swinging the bats consistently (Mark Loretta and Mike Lamb) are spending too much time ridin' the pine.. They just haven't put all the pieces together offensively yet. (Additionally, I don't think Garner has any idea where to hit Pence right now, or how to keep Loretta in the lineup more than one game at a time... And, what on earth do you do about the Lane/Scott combo?... These are all things that you woulda hoped had fallen in place by now)... They will.and once everything gets situated and sustained for more than one game at a time, I look for the offense to get on a serious roll... Just hope the pitching doesn't fall apart by that time. (Maybe Clemens and Backe will be back and Jennings will be healthy...that could be pretty solid.)

And for the guy who said pitching is the problem... He's obviously not watching the games. the pitching ( I think it was 17 quality starts now) is the only thing keeping them somewhat in the game. Woody and Wandy have nothing to show for it yet, because of the lack of run support.

You want an alarming stat.? How about 10 or more runners left on base in at least 4 or 5 of the recent games played (including the game last night). In one game (the 16 inning affair) we left 18! on base... there's you're problem right there. You get on base, ya gotta score... plain and simple.

How many innings long was the longest baseball game?

horrible pitching staff. Oswalt is the only one doing well.

Brewers are going to Destroy them

Who hit the Home Run to win the 1964 All Star Game? Thank you.?

I'm going to the game tonight and routing for them. I'll pull for any team that can help the Brewers. I went to all 3 games last weekend and it was great being booed. for being in first place. As for what's wrong with your team.. as good as Roy-O is he is not an entire rotation. (Oh, and his only two losses this year came to?) Albers and Jennings could be decent after the All Star break if they get stretched out. Don't get me started on Woody and Wandy. Carlos Lee has a great bat, but I watched his lackadaisical defense lose as many close games as he won while he was in Milwaukee. Do you really think that Biggio would still be playing if he wasn't so close to 3000 hits? His bat is OK at best, and he doesn't give you much on defense anymore. I do like Hunter Pence, though. That kid has a great approach at the plate and just looks like a baseball player. But all in all I think 2007 is the year of the beer and the Astros fight it out for 3rd or 4th.

Yankees what will there record be??

I'm a die hard stros fan...i cried when they finally went to the world series. The problem is the situational hitting. They are to aggresive when they should take a few pitches and let the opposing pitcher get into a deep pitch count. they need to quit swinging at first pitch strikes with two outs... let him make a ptich hell he could throw one in the dirt or leave a breakin ball hanging or somethin. then, when they need to be aggresive the pitcher bunts it right in front of the mound on a FREAKIN SQUEEZE PLAY!!! WANDY F'N RODRIGUEZ that had to have been the worst bunt attempt during a squeeze play...crap bunting is not that dang hard.square up locate the ball and put bat on ball...u actually "catch" the ball with the bat.and morgan ensberg...if the freakin ball is two feet from the chalk it aint going out...pick the damn thing up and get the out. i knwo the season is young but honestly im gettin tired of these second half surges that get us in to the playoffs but get swept by the f'n sox cause we cant hit when our pitchers pitch there *** off..ask the rocket he knows. Shaun Berry needs to be fired and Bagwell needs to be the hitting coach...not a far fetched idea it wont happen tho but it would be cool. o and fire the fat one and hey uncle drayton...open the wallet and spend some money rat face
