Having been a life long San Francisco Giant fan, I still have to agree that it is completely wrong to idolize Bonds the way they do. I have stopped watching MLB completely the past few years because of the disgust I feel with nearly every player in the sport. I don't see things getting any better in the future. I guess we should take to heart the old adage that every record is made to be broken, and hopefully someday we will have major leaguers who desire our admiration and respect.One additional thought, in this case it is the SF Giant fans but I believe that even if it was an Oakland A's player or a player from most any other Major Sports Team the fan reaction would be the same.
