How can I add some more velocity on my fastball?
Question:I throw everyday. I never iced my arm in my life NO LIE. I throw about 88-90 mph. What Can i do to make my fastball quicker. Im 6 foot 3 238 pounds so im a big 18 yr old.Any solution, no negative comments please

Two quick things ... soft toss will build arm strength... get down on one knee with a partner increase the distance between each other every twenty throws by about 20 yards untill about 60 to 80 yards from one another. Plyometrics are probably the best way to increase your velocity. It won't give you brute strength like lifting weights will, but it will increase your explosiveness. I would take steroids, if you really throw that hard you prolly can get to 92-95 and then you would definititly would get drafted.If I were you, I'd try to go with mechanics. A pitcher you seem to be comparable to in size might be Roger Clemens. His mechanics are smart and effective as to how he pitches, and also maintaining his conditioning.
Throw long toss every day and do some resistent training on your arm to get stronger.

this might sound funny but here goes , you might try what they train hoses with - water so take swimming lessons , another way is something I seen in an old baseball movie. throwing rocks at chickens sitting on a fense sinse we don't want to hurt animals switch the chickens for pop cans and make sure u use rocks not stones, as they weigh heaver and will add to the muscular growth that you need and are looking for. also drink milk and not that energy crap and get proper sleep..also rember sex before a game or tryout is a no-no...it will rob you of to much energy... its the best I can come up with at short notice.hope it helps.More Questions & Answers...
