Is Lidge going to get his closer spot back?

Question:Maybe not right away or even anytime soon, but do you think he can get things straightened out and win his spot back?

Answers:

Anyone know at what Hotel in For Lauderdale the Phillies stay when they play the Marlins?

He's got to get his confidence back. He got good stuff but this mind is all missed up. You got to have no nerves if you are a closer. Don't know if he'll ever recover kind of reminds me of that pitcher from St. Louis who never recovered and tried to change positions.

Who will make the baseball hall of fame soon?

Here is what the Houston Chronicle had to say:

The Astros have decided to pull Brad Lidge from the closer's role and use him earlier in games. Dan Wheeler is the new favorite for saves in Houston.

"I'm going to change the bullpen configuration a little bit," manager Phil Garner said. "Brad is not going to close as a general rule. ... As of right now I'm going to pitch him earlier in the game, sixth inning area, sixth-seventh inning area 'cause I want to pitch him more often, give him more consistent work. As it stands right now I'll probably close with Wheeler, set up with [Chad] Qualls and [Rick] White." It had to be done. Lidge's fastball is still there, so he could turn things around if he gets his head on straight. In the meantime, Wheeler will likely do a fine job saving games.

Why don't the fans exercise power by boycotting games if unhappy with owners?

If Dan Wheeler performs well, I don't think he gets that spot back this year. The only way I see it happening is if Lidge gets his confidence and control back, he keeps leaving pitches thigh high over the middle of the plate, and Wheeler struggles as the closer. If Lidge keeps pitching the way he is now, he may find himself at AAA ball to get his stuff worked out. A team like the Astros that doesn't seem to have the ability to score a lot of runs can't afford to have a guy with 16.20 era and a 3 to 1 BB to K ratio in the bullpen.

Felix Hernandez?

Least number of pitches thrown by single team in 9 inning MLB game?

Maybe, but I doubt it. The dude hasn't been good in 2 years now. He reminds me of Mike MacDougal. He has good stuff, but can't throw strikes. When he does throw strikes, they are right down the middle. I think he's a head case.

Why is barry bonds allowed to keep on his path...?

Albert Pujols scarred him forever. FOREVER.

In baseball there is an extray chalk line outside the 1st base line about 1/2 way down...why?

He could in the future but for now Dan Wheeler has taken over the role.
