If a guy hits into a force out (the guy hits a groundball in which the guy at 1st base who is running to 2nd?
Question:is out on a 6-4 or a 5-4 for the final out of the inning), how do I score the guy who hit the force out on my scorecard.
Answers:
You write the 5-4 or 6-4 in the batter's box. If you prefer to record the putout elsewhere, such as in the retired runner's box, put FC (for Fielder's Choice) in the batter's box.
FC (for fielder's choice) 6-4, or 5-4, whatever it was. The important thing is FC because when you do your re-cap at the end of the game then you'll know to credit the batter with an At Bat but not a Hit.
advanced to first on FC (fielder's choice)
Write "FC" in the first-base box, even if he never actually reached first. You must account for him.
Up to what Inning can a Baseball team play?
It's still a fielder's choice regarding the batter-runner. The third out is made on the basepaths.MLB has information of scorekeeping. It's in the links below.
